Hi Students and Parents,
Please mark these dates on your calendar. We have a lot going on before Christmas break begins!
Friday, December 12th, our Immigration Project is due. We will be sharing these in class.
Tuesday, December 16th, is Immigration Day. Please dress up like someone from your country and bring in a food to share. This will be a fun and memorable day!
Thursday, December 18th, is our Wax Museum. Remember your speeches need to be atleast 30 seconds to 1 minute long. They also MUST BE MEMORIZED! You will need to bring a prop that represents your famous person as your give your speech.
Friday, December 19th is the last day before Christmas break and also our holiday party! Our party is from 10:00-11:00.
Parents: In the Tuesday folders that are coming home today, you will find your student's ITBS/CoGAT scores. Please review the scores and let me know if you have any questions.

SUBJET: Annual notification of asbestos management plan to all Cobb County
This letter is to advise you that this School Facility has in accordance with the mandated requirements of the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) prepared an Inspection Report and Management Plan. The purpose of the Inspection Report and Management Plan is for detecting, controlling and informing the public of any asbestos containing materials that may exist in this School Facility. In the even that a building addition, renovation or response action is required at this Facility, the Inspection Report and Management Plan will be revised accordingly.
This will advise you that a copy of the Inspection Report and Management Plan for this Facility is available for public review in the Administrative Offices of the Facility during normal working hours. Copies are available, upon request, only in completed sets at twenty-five (25) cents per page.

Blackwell’s Scholastic Book Fair is here!
Sales begin Monday, November 17 through Thursday, November 20. The Book Fair will be open during school hours everyday, and later on Tuesday and Thursday. Can’t shop early in the morning? The Book Fair will be open during the Thanksgiving lunches on Wednesday, Nov. 19th and Thursday, Nov. 20th.
November 20th, 5-7pm is Family Night at the Book Fair. Food, games, contests, and fun for everyone!

We will be having a cell test on Tuesday, November 11th. The will finish our unit on cells, and we will move into microorganisms.
3D cell model projects are due November 18th. I look forward to seeing the student's creativity.
November 19th is our Thanksgiving Feast. Our lunch time is from 11:04-11:34. Please come and enjoy!
Thanksgiving Holidays are right around the corner: November 24-28th!
We are now studying Informational writing and are completing 2 projects: Immigration Project and Wax Museum. Ask your student who are they going to be!
Parents,
Letters will be coming home on Monday regarding how to have your child start using the on-line practice tests. All students must have their identification number in order to log in. The letter includes this information. Please put this in a safe place and have your child utilize this web site once a week or so. Below is an attachment of the letter. If you need your child's number again, please let me know and I will send it home. Thank you for your help in getting your child ready for the CRCT.
