is Blackwell Elementary’s “No Place for Hate” week!
This week will be filled with activities and opportunities that promote anti-bullying behavior. Since Blackwell’s theme this year is “Fill A Bucket” (practicing kindness), it goes along nicely with our designation as a No Place for Hate School! Please encourage your students to participate in the following optional dress up days during this special week:
Monday: “White-Out Day.” Wear white to symbolize peace among all students.
Tuesday: “Give Bullies The Slip.” Wear slippers.
Wednesday: “Team Up Against Bullies.” Wear your favorite team jersey.
Thursday: “Don't get Mixed up with Bullies" Wear mix and matched/ mismatched clothes, socks, etc.
Friday: “Fill A Bucket Day.” Wear school colors, and enjoy celebrating acts of kindness with your classmates.
In addition, students may participate in the "Fill a Bucket" poster contest:
- The poster should be centered around our "Fill a Bucket" theme. Your student have creative licence to interpret the phrase into their poster however they would like.
- Please have posters on 8 1/2 x 11 paper and have students put their name on the back.
