PTA Relections Due October 7th!

The PTA will be hosting the annual Reflections program again this year. The theme this year is "Diversity means...." The students can express themselves as many times as they would like in as many categories as they would like. The categories are: Dance Choreography, Film Video Production, Literature, Musical Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. There are specific rules for each category. Current Units of Study

Social Studies: Map and Globe Skills (scale,longitude,latitude,physical features and landforms)

Math: Order of Operations, Input/Output

Reading: Novel study- Because of Winn Dixie or The Kid in the Red Jacket

Writing: Narrative Writing/ reading Summary Log (due every Monday for the previous week)

English: Sentences/Sentence Fragments

Spelling: Words Their Way (see sorts)

Fire Safety

 Please make sure your child completes their Fire Safety assignments. Assignments will be assigned through September 17th.  Pages 3 and 11 require a parent signature and will NOT be considered complete without the signature.

Our trip to Safety Village is Tuesday, September 13th. (depart 9:30,return 1:30) Please have your child wear tennis shoes the day of our trip and girls please do NOT  wear skirts or dresses.

Breakfast/ Car riders

Students will be served breakfast until the last bus arrives ( usually around 7:35).Car riders who arrive after the last bus will NOT be served breakfast. If you are a car rider and you eat breakfast, please allow yourself enough time.
