Blackwell's Picture Retake Day is Friday, November 4th. If your child needs to have their pictures made please be on the lookout for information coming home. Our specials for this day are Music, so the class will not be hot and sweaty befor etheir picutre is made.
READING IS OUT OF THIS WORLD.......
The Scholastic Book Fair will be in our Media Center beginning Monday, November 11th through Friday, November 11th. This is a great opportunity to provide good reading material for your child or good holiday gifts for any child. We will have a class walk through the week before so that the children can look over the titles and make wishlists. Also we will have a family night where the book fair will remain open a few hours later to allow families time to shop together. Keep an eye out for more information to come home in Tuesday folders.
Our class is doing a community outreach project for the upcoming holiday season. We will be creating a meal box and would love your help. Please have your child bring their donation to our classroom by Tuesday, November 16th. This is a great opportunity to talk about thankfulness and giving back to the community.
Conference week is October 24th - 2t8th. We will be following the "Early Dismissal" schedules. Thie means that school lets out at 12:20. Our specials time has moved to 10:20 - 10:55 and lunch will be at 11:24.
Please watch for your child's conference form to come home next Tuesday, October 11th. If you have a conflict with the time or date please contact me as soon as possible and I will do my very best to find the right time and date. See you soon.
Blackwell's Fall Festival is Fridaynight, October 14th . Please come out and support our school. There will be food,fun and games galore. We also have a silent auction to benefit our Blackwell Foundation.
Third grade is sponsoring a "Family Game Night" basket for the silent auction. As of today our classroom has not brought in anything to support the cause. Items can be as simple as a deck of cards, or markers and paper. Please send items into the classroom by Wednesday, October 12th.
Also we have been asked to donate individually packaged chips. I will be collecting those in the classroom as well.
