Dear Parents,
Welcome to Kindergarten! What a great first week we have had! The children have learned much about our school routines and procedures. We have enjoyed meeting new friends.
Thank you for being so generous with your donations of snacks and supplies. We will be using quite a few things throughout the year. We appreciate your help! Also, thank you for being prompt in returning all the forms that are required. It can truly seem like an endless mountain at times.
Please remember that athletic shoes are needed every time we have P.E. They are also required to be worn on the outside play equipment. This is for your child’s safety in order to help prevent slipping on the playscape. If your child does not have on athletic shoes, he/she will not be able to use the equipment during recess.
Our room gets cold occasionally. Your child may have a sweater or light jacket in his/her book bag if desired. Please remember to send in a fresh towel every Monday to keep in your child’s book bag for that week. Also, your child may keep a fully closable water bottle (fresh every day and water only) in their book bag.
The school requests that all money be put into a sealed envelope and labeled with your child’s name, teacher, grade, and purpose of the payment. The ziplock bag in your child’s folder is for the purpose of these payment envelopes and any notes for us. We do not want to miss communication from you because the note fell out of the folder. Be sure to check the folder every day. You may keep your child’s work that is sent home. Remember to ask questions about his/her work. They are so proud of all they do!
For the protection of your child, any change in his/her usual after school transportation routine is required to be communicated to us in writing.
Please mark your calendar for Tuesday, September 13th. We will have PTA Open House at 6:15p.m. This is a chance for you to find out more about our daily activities.
We look forward to a great year. Let’s work together toward building a strong foundation for your child’s academic progress.
