I am thrilled to have the awesome privilege of having your child in our class for the first few weeks of school! A few changes will be made after Kindergarten Camp is over. It was a pleasure to meet your child and you at Sneak-a-Peek! Thank you for all the supplies and snacks you have been sending in. We have had an amazing first week of school with 22 wonderful boys and girls! We are learning procedures and routines and making many new friends. We have read some great stories and are working with color words! We are also working with the alphabet and numbers! We are playing name games to learn the names of our friends. I know it is a busy day, and your child is probably tired when getting home. We are giving lots of hugs as they miss their mommy and daddy at times. We have had so many smiles coming to school with an excitement for learning! I will send home activities for homework soon, but remember homework is optional in Kindergarten{ Cobb County Policy}.
Thank you for sending the folder back every day! This is a great way to communicate with notes. You will also receive work that your child has done. Please go over it with your child, because he/she is so proud of it. We will discuss the kindergarten academics and our daily schedule at Open House-September 13.
I am honored to teach your child this year! I believe we are all lifelong learners, and want to encourage your child to do his/her very best. I promise to provide a safe place for learning where your child will be challenged and have fun! I want to keep their excitement for learning all year long!
Please subscribe to my Blog. This is one of the ways we will communicate with you this year. We will also communicate by email, newsletters, and telephone. Remember all transportation changes must be in writing and sent to school. Please do not rely on email for changes in dismissal. We are busy teaching and cannot always get to the email before dismissal, or we may have checked email before you sent it.
I will discuss my behavior management plan at Open House. It allows for negative behaviors to be changed to positive. I want each child to be successful and have a good self esteem! Feel free to discuss any questions or concerns with me.
Tennis shoes need to be worn on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for P.E.! We have art on Tuesdays and music on Thursdays.
Thanks for returning all the paperwork that came home in the first day folder! We are 100% for returning our P.E. letters, and the children loved hearing our class name on the intercom for doing this.
We anticipate a wonderful year working as a team with you to help your child succeed academically! We will be amazed in May how far he/she has progressed!
