Scholastic Book Club flyers will be coming home in Tuesday Folders next Tuesday, March 3rd. Orders will be due no later than Thursday, March 12th. Pleaes take time to review them and consider ordering. Each flyer has 32 or more books for less than $5.00 and at least one book for only $1.00. If you have any questions, please let Mrs. McGee know.

CRCT Practice Tests
REMINDER...letters were sent home a few months ago with your child's GA Test ID so that he/she try some sample CRCT tests as practice. Below you can download a copy of the letter in case you've misplaced yours. The letter has all of the directions you will need to access these practice tests. If you need to know your child's GA Test ID so you can accces these practice tests, please let us know.
Blackwell Math Night at Publix
Students received a yellow 1/2 sheet flyer in their Tuesday folders this week. This flyer needs to be returned as soon as possible so that we know approxiamately the number of students that will be attending this event. Please read the attached flyer for more details. Hope to see you there!
Reading Logs - Mrs. McGee's Homeroom Only
To support Blackwell's "Go Green" efforts, I will no longer be printing monthly reading logs. Students are required to read a minimum of 20 minutes (or more) each night as written daily in their agendas. Our NEW procedure will require them to list the title of the book, magazine, article, etc. right under the "Read 20 min." in their agenda ALONG with listing the # of minutes read. Since parents/guardians sign agendas nightly, which signifies they've reviewed their child's homework, that will let me know if the student has completed the reading or not. Thank you for helping me make this important change and for encouraging reading daily.

Family Trivia Night

Get on your thinking caps and join us for Blackwell's Trivia night.
When: Thursday, February 26th - Doors open at 6:30pm and games run from 7:00-8:00pm
Where: Blackwell Elementary School Cafeteria
Light snacks and drinks will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society. THE EVENT IS FREE, but tickets are required. Return the order form (sent home last week) by Tuesday, February 24th (or ASAP) to get your tickets for this fun event!
