4th Grade Holiday Chorus/Recorder Program
The 4th grade chorus/recorder holiday program will be repeated on Thursday, December 17th @ 8:15-9:00 and 9:15-10:00. If you missed it at the PTA meeting, be sure to come to the cafeteria and see it!
Chick-fil-A Biscuits
Chick-fil-A biscuits will be sold in the car-rider line on Thursday, December 17th.
Supplies
MANY students have run out of pencils. PLEASE be sure to check with your child and make sure that he/she has pencils for the 3rd & 4th nine weeks of school.
Also, if anyone is willing and able to donate paper towels to the class, please send them in at your earliest convenience. Thank you in advance for you generousity!
Holiday Party
Happy Holidays! Our class holiday party will be on Friday, December 18th from 9:30-10:30. Letters with details are coming home today.
HOMEWORK
PLEASE check agendas daily for homework assignments. Daily homework includes reading a minimum of 20 minutes and recording it in the agenda. On some days, there is other homework and it will be written in your child's agenda.
Today I had 11 out of 20 students NOT complete their homework from last night!!! The small amount of homework I give is important and it is expected that it be completed daily to the best of their ability. Please check with your child nightly to ensure it is complete and sent back to school the next day.

Students are not allowed back in classrooms following dismissal to pick-up items
left behind (coats, books, lunch boxes, homework, etc). This is not only
for their safety but also for the security of classroom content.

High Touch High Tech
High Touch High Tech of Greater Atlanta will be coming to work with 4th grade students on January 11 & 12, 2010. Permission slips will be coming home with students today. Our class will participate on Monday, January 11th from 11:15-12:45.
This hands-on science experience building and using simple machines will be very valuable and directly related to our science standards.
PLEASE consider allowing your child to participate. The permission form and $7.75 is due NO LATER THAN Friday, January 8, 2010. We MUST receive the form and payment in order for your child to participate in this hands-on activity.

Technology
The Blackwell Foundation sent home envelopes for our $10 for Technology drive in October and we greatly appreciate the donations we've already received. Cobb County School district is installing SMARTboards in every classroom ... and now there are a lot of extra things we'd like to purchase to enhance the use of this technology. Your $10 for Technology donation will help us make these purchases! You can send donations in the original envelope or place in your own envelope marked "Blackwell Foundation". Please make checks payable to: CCPS-EF.
Remember: The class with the highest participation by December 10, 2009 will receive a pizza party!
