We have been busy in Target learning our new standards and identifying what we do each day to meet those standards. During Target Chatter we've learned about the many ways we are smart and how creative we are. We used this information to create goals to work on throughout our units. As a whole we will be working on elaboration (area of creativity) and being more word smart (more to come). We are also reading the book Nerd Camp by Elissa Brent Weissman which is about a gifted student going to a enrichment program during the summer and he discovers from his stepbrother that he is possibly a nerd. Will he ever be cool in the eyes of his stepbrother? Or maybe his stepbrither is a nerd too.
