Got a minute?

Use creative thinking to answer some of the questions.  Feel free to bring in your reponses to share with your class!

Brainstorm all the many and varied ways things  that are:

fast

cold

quiet

What if you were asked to design a new way to ...

travel on snow

play football

find out if we will have six more weeks of winter or an early spring

Hmm...

10 of what equals 20 of what?

What takes about an hour?

What makes something special?

Grade 1

Welcome to our new crew of Targeteers!  We have been busy learning about the many ways we are smart and how to show our thinking.  Our unit is In the Round and we are learning about the way we think through a round theme.  Our days are busy with Brain Stations and visits from our friends at Crystal Pond Woods.

Grades 2-3

We are well into our Snake Unit. We are currently learning about a snake's anatomy and how a snake moves. One of our final projects for the unit will be a research project on the snakes of Georgia.  More info to come.  Kudos to the 2nd Grade group who continue to go above and beyond to find out more about snakes!  Way to GO!

Grades 4-5

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!  Who will achieve knighthood?  Last week students were given several tasks that need to be fulfilled to achieve knighthood.  With parent permission students will go on a quest, save a damsel or mister in distress and many other activities.  Students will have until the end of April to complete these tasks.  All permission slips will be due by next week if you plan to participate.  Good Luck!

A New Species Discovered!

Did you know that the rain forest is home to many plant and animal species that have yet to be discovered?  Well, the 4th and 5th grade Target students have discovered many!  Target students used divergent thinking to create a species that had adapted to the rain forest of the future.

On the Cattle Trails

On Wednesday October 22nd, Mrs. Parks from the Booth Western Art Museum came to visit our 2nd and 3rd grade Target students.  She gave a detailed account of life on the cattle trails and students got a chance to use their  critical thinking skills to identify items that were used by cowboys as they traveled from the West to the East.  Happy Trails!
